We are Montreal's longest running dragon boat club. We practice at the Olympic Basin on Ile Notre-Dame.
Originally the Restaurant Jade Garden - Poon Kai dragonboat team, the Jade Dragons have been paddling since the inception of the Montreal International Dragon Boat Race Festival in 1995. We combine fun with a competitive flair. We offer 2 mixed teams - Jade Evolution and Jade Dragons. During the summer we practice on Monday and Wednesday evenings until the Quebec Cup festival in late September. We are coached by Fred Heese, one of the most experienced coaches in North America.
Our club combines sport and social activities
Our common goal : Improving everybody’s individual performance for the whole team. We have a strong team-spirit : everybody brings his best contribution regardless of the individual level.
